Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026 · Applies to origindraft.com

This notice explains what personal data the Origin Draft website collects, why, where it is stored, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we collect only what you type into our forms, we use it only for the purposes stated next to each form, we run no advertising or analytics trackers, and you can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.

Who is responsible

Controller: [full personal or registered company name]
Trading as: Origin Draft, part of the Many Monkeys family of creative tools
Postal address: [street address, postcode, city, country]
Email: hello@origindraft.com

What we collect, and why

Early-access waitlist. When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the time you signed up, and which form on the page you used. We use this only to contact you about Origin Draft early access: build availability, and occasional development updates directly related to the product you signed up to test. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form.

Writer research survey. If you take the survey we store your answers along with your name and email address. We use the answers, in aggregated form only, to decide what Origin Draft ships with and to produce the research findings report. We use your name and email to send you your priority code, the findings report, early-access builds, and — only if you opt in — a credit in the product. Individual answers are never published or shared. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the survey.

Insider Hub. When you open the Insider Hub with your priority code, we record the code used and the time, so we know which parts of the early-access programme are being used. Feedback you submit in the hub is stored with your priority code. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the early-access programme you joined.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising or analytics trackers, and no tracking cookies.
  • No data is bought from or sold to anyone, ever.
  • Nothing you write in the Origin Draft application ever reaches our servers. The app is local-first by design; this notice covers only this website.

Where your data lives

We use three processors, each bound by its own data-processing terms:

  • Vercel Inc. (USA) hosts this website and receives form submissions (privacy policy).
  • Google LLC (USA) stores submissions in a private Google Sheets document accessed through a restricted service account (privacy policy).
  • Resend (USA) delivers the emails we send you, such as your Insider Hub priority code (privacy policy).

These providers may store data in data centres inside and outside the EU. Transfers outside the EU/EEA rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.

What is required, what is optional

Joining the waitlist requires only an email address. Taking the survey requires a name and email so we can deliver the priority code, report and builds you're signing up for; every other answer, and any outcome marked not applicable, is up to you. If you'd rather not provide personal data, you can still read everything on this site — you just won't receive early-access builds or the report, because we'd have no way to send them.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails: until Origin Draft's general availability launch, or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
  • Survey responses: identifying details (name, email) are kept for the duration of the early-access programme; the anonymised answers may be kept longer as aggregate research data.
  • Hub access logs and feedback: for the duration of the early-access programme.

Your rights

Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. In addition, you can at any time ask us to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict how we process it;
  • receive a copy in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • stop receiving emails — every email we send also includes an opt-out.

Write to hello@origindraft.com and we will act on it promptly. If you are in the EU or EEA, you additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data — for example by adding a new form or a new processor — we will update this page and its date, and note material changes in the early-access emails.
